Drove out to Nelson Bay in Port Stephens and did a walk up to Tomaree Head in the National Park. The photo shows the lovely Shoal Bay from Tomaree Head.
View of Newcastle from Stockton where you catch the ferry.
One of the lovely old Newcastle houses. There are very many beautiful old houses and many small former miner's cottages as well as lovely modern houses.
Our first house sit in the area was in Clarence Town, looking after Cooper and Lucy on a property some 30 kms out of Newcastle.
The dam where the dogs liked to swim. Cooper loved bringing stones back.
On the way to the Maitland Bridge Club which we visited while we house sat in Clarence Town, we used to stop by the lovely cafe at Morpeth. The cafe is right on the corner as you come into Morpeth, on the Hunter River.
Our favourite charges were the mini-schnauzers at Maitland East, Rufus and Frankie. We gave them a lovely time going on many walks. They even came to Sydney with us for an over-night stay and they behaved beautifully.
Another walk to Glenrock Lagoon.
Our last housesit was at this lovely spot in Merewether with Purrrly the pussy cat to look after.
While there, we had Peter and Toni over for Christmas and roast duck. Here we are having a Xmas toast.
The swimming pool was lovely and private and we had many swims every day we were there. Here is Purrly relaxing, as we did. So hard to leave.................
